Government consider harder driving tests

Along with plans to have safe driving introduced into the school curriculum, the government is considering the Swedish system, where drivers undergo a minimum of 120 hours of training before taking a test.
Transport Minister Stephen Ladyman has said "The test may need to be expanded and made much more thorough".
This is only in the discussional stage, but potential learners should be aware that there is a consistent drive from the media and pressure groups to make the driving test harder.
