On the 19th of December Bob Bennett featured as a guest on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with Sue Dougan. He was advising on the dangers facing drivers on the roads this winter.
Bob's top winter driving tips:
- Plan your journey - Be prepared by checking all levels (oil, coolant, windscreen wash, brake fluid) - Check tyre inflation & tread levels - Drive smoothly with no abrupt acceleration, braking or steering - Allow more stopping distance - Maintain maximum visibility by keeping all windows clear and clean - Ensure all lights & reflectors are kept clean (including number plates) - Remember your sunglasses! (for low sun) - For long journeys take some food, drink, warm clothes and a shovel
